I've made a list of three great meditation apps that I've found over the past two years. These apps have helped me improve my practise regularity and increase the time I spend practising.
My meditation practise began in 2009 after reading "The Art of Happiness" by the Dalai Lama. I fell in love with the practise, however, I've had my ups and downs with it! There have been many moments in my life where life has become hectic and I've let it slip, but I always find myself going back to meditation because the benefits are so wonderful.+
When I started, apps weren't around to remind me to keep up my practise. I didn't have awesome, free, guided meditations to help me get started. However, since I have started to teach my children about the benefits of meditation, I have found apps to help them (and me) create a more regular practise! +
This free app is amazing. It reminds me to practise, it has a huge library of guided meditations, musical meditations, relaxing sounds and a simple timer. It also encourages me with milestones which makes me want to practise each day. This is one app I always have on my phone! +
The Smiling Mind
I love using this app with my children. It is set out like a course, and you can learn about meditation as you increase your practise! +
This app has a huge library of meditations, relaxing sounds and guided meditations. It also includes inspirational content to encourage you to live a more fulfilling life. You will only get a limited amount of free content, most of it is paid content.
